Capturing the perfect shot of rare marine life is one of the most rewarding challenges in Dave the Diver. In Chapter 2, players receive a special sub mission from Udo that requires diving deep into the Blue Hole under the cover of night. Successfully photographing the elusive Manta Ray demands specific preparations, precise positioning, and an understanding of the creature's behavioral patterns.
Finding the Manta Ray Location at Night
To begin this photography assignment, you must wait until Udo sets up the necessary equipment for a nighttime photo shoot. Once the quest is active, dive into the Blue Hole Shallows and head toward the eastern side of the map. You will find the designated setup site sitting at a depth of approximately 20 meters.
Upon arriving, you will notice that local sharks have disrupted the photography site by knocking down the lighting equipment. Before the majestic creature can be lured into the area, Dave must manually interact with the environment to restore order. You will need to prop up the fallen light fixtures and swim the extension cords directly over to the underwater generator.
Setting the Bait and Finding Cover
With the electrical infrastructure fully restored, your next objective is to distribute the specialized Lure Capsule provided for the mission. Deploying this item will immediately attract a large swarm of glowing blue plankton to the illuminated zone. This dense concentration of microscopic organisms serves as the primary food source required to draw the target creature out from the shadows.
However, the photography process cannot begin if Dave remains out in the open, as human presence scares the wildlife away. Look around the immediate vicinity of the generator to locate a large pile of rocks that can be used as a hiding spot. Position yourself carefully behind this natural barrier and wait patiently for the creature to make its grand entrance.
Executing the Perfect Photographic Capture
As you wait behind the rock pile, the massive Manta Ray will eventually swoop down to feed on the gathered plankton. It is crucial to remain completely still and avoid swimming directly toward the animal, as getting too close will immediately trigger a mission failure. Instead, wait for the perfect moment when the creature glides gracefully between the illuminated lighting fixtures.
When the animal is perfectly framed within the bright beams of light, the camera prompt will appear on your screen. Capture the image quickly while ensuring all required criteria are met before the creature swims away out of bounds. Once the ideal photo is secured, return safely to the surface to present your hard work to Udo and claim your 1000 Gold reward.
